Breathable sheets!i got lucky with the black friday price on these sheets. i was in a hurry and so i didn't really research the sheets as i typically research every purchase. but the price was right, i liked that they were organic cotton and i needed sheets yesterday. i got them in time and am very happy with them. washed/dried and now on my bed, i really like the feel of them. mind you, i like the feel of cotton that hasn't been toyed with. i don't want the feel of a satin finish, i just want that breathable touch of real cotton against my skin and these sheets offer that. they seem well made, fitting my deep mattress with corners offering a lot of elastic. now that the black friday prices are gone i am sorta shocked at the regular prices of these sheets, so i feel very fortunate for having purchased them at the price i did. that obviously makes me like the sheets more. i have now read reviews saying the sheets didn't hold up over time or that they had a bad smell. mine do not have a smell to them. time will tell how well they hold up and if they fail on me, i'll be back to update my review.Gotta be honest. They need about 20 more washes till they are comfy.The description says fits up to 15" mattress (depth). Our mattress is about 12" inches and it is far too deep for it.We washed and dried them but the fitted sheet was still extremely LOOSE on the Eastern/Standard King bed.We would have loved to keep this sheet set but the fact that the fitted sheet was loose and slid around and bunched up on the bed meant we had to return them, sad to say.UPDATE: Whisper Organic customer service contacted me and sent a new fitted sheet. I've been washing that one in normal hot cycle instead of sanitize and it still fits good.These are very soft and nice, but the most important thing for me with sheets is the fitted sheet should be ample sized. This one is already hard to get on after just a couple weeks. I do wash them in the sanitize cycle which is not the recommended cycle, but I only want to buy sheets I can wash in the sanitize cycle. I'm going back to Calvin Klein, which takes months to a year before they start getting tight. I do have the Whisper Organics mattress cover which is great and ample sized, which I would definitely buy again.I don't like the wrinkling but I appreciate the fact they don't contain chemicals in order to make them wrinkle-free. I feel like they may have shrank a tad after the first wash, but reasonably considering they are cotton, plus they still fit our mattress. They seem to veer more on the side of percale, rather than sateen, although they are soft, and seem the type to soften even more after a few washes (I hope). I sooo love the fact they did not contain a chemical smell AT ALL. Finally! The price point with the 3rd party certifications cannot be beat (trust me, I have been looking around). The cloth bag included adds a nice touch even if its too small to place the linens in. I would so invest in these again, and I am considering purchasing additional items they sell. I've always purchased "cheap-ish" sheet sets that may have bragged "500 thread count", but after washing, felt like paper and was equally as thin. I have a 3 year old top-of-line (at the time) LG washer and dryer that does a great job cleaning without ripping fabric to shreds. However, most of my past sheets have barely made it one year before ripping out, and after 1 wash, I'm surprised they make it that long. So, after figuring I'm actually spending more buying sheet sets every year, I should probably get a better set. After researching, I was shocked to see how dangerous synthetic chemicals are used in manufacturing most sheets. Plus, I learned a little about what makes sheets soft, and hint...it's not necessarily the thread count. So, I knew I wanted CERTIFIED Organic sheets (make sure it's certified!), and then I rolled the dice on this sheet set. I wasn't expecting much, so I was/am truly excited about these sheets. First, they felt incredibly soft when I opened the package. I figured, they'd turn a bit "paper-ish" after washing. NOPE! These are the softest sheets I've had. Plus, these sheets have some quality thickness to them, not paper-thin like the big box stores sell. I can't say much yet for the durability, but based on how they look and feel, I'd be surprised if these don't make it through at least 2-3 years of weekly washes. Great product from a very responsive company.Update***After I wrote the review below, the company contacted me and offered to replace them. They had great customer service and were very willing to resolve the issue. It was refreshing to feel that in a company.I got a set of these as a gift and really liked them so I bought another set. Only this time when I washed them in a he washer they came out like this. It looks like where the powder detergent might have accumulated on the sheet it burnt the color out. BummerI love my other set that is purple.Sheet-shopping isn't my favorite activity since finding a set that fits a double bed perfectly - not too loose - is rare. I bought Whisper Organics FULL set & it's a perfect fit. The cotton is soft and just the right weight, & feels durable, like it'll survive a lot of washes. The cream-color is nice; I'm going to order their white sheets next. The packaging was sturdy, delivery was speedy.Maybe a bit pricey. Country of origin, India. Unpleasant smell when sealed package first opened, but trip through the laundry freshened things up. Ironing necessary? Resident fussy folk says yes. Construction looks fine, Pistachio and blue colors in twin size chosen. Long term evaluation starts now, and we'll edit as time progresses..This product is supposed to be organic; I had my doubts because it is made in India. I am sensitive to chemical smalls and fragrances, and these sheet smelled of chemicals when I opened the package. I have washed them and they still smelled strongly. No way I can sleep on these. I will have to buy my linens in a real store from now on, can't trust product descriptions anymore online.I absolutely love these sheets! This is my second set that I have purchased. They fit perfectly. They are not too wrinkly. They feel amazing on the skin. I have them on my daughters full-sized bed and my own king size bed. They are perfect.Soft and cuddly sheets! Love them. I wish Amazon.ca sold the 500 T.C in full/Double size. Will have to by from Amazon.com if I want those.
