These sheets are super heavy like the weight of denim and they are hot. You don’t need additional cover with these sheets. I would have given the 5 stars if the had not been so heavy. The wash good don’t wrinkle they have a shiny finish and are very soft. They definitely are for winter and I would like these better than flannel. I have never seen sheets this thick and I am 68 years.They’re not luxurious but they work well. They’re definitely not uncomfortable if you’re like me and that’s all you really care about. They do exactly what I wanted - I wanted cool sheets for hot summer months, and these sheets are the coolest I've ever owned. It's almost like they refuse to absorb heat at all!Yes, they are wrinkly, but I honestly don't care. I use them for the comfort and coolness, not to impress random guests with unwrinkled sheets.They aren't quite 5 star for me, though. In just three days, one of the pillowcases' seams ripped open about 5 inches. I can fix this easily myself, so it wasn't worth returning it. I haven't had any other problems with any of the other pieces. Also, the materials is really slick. This is kinda nice in some ways; between the coolness and slickness of the sheets I never feel suffocated or wrapped up in them. However, while not field tested, I can imagine that the slickness of the sheets might cause issues with some vigorous activity, however, I can't testify to that.Very nice sheets but kind of scratchy and not cooling at all. If anything they made us hot and sweaty. Will be good for winter but not good for summer sleeping in a home with no central air.These are some of the nicest bedsheets I've ever purchased. The deep pockets were perfect with my mattress with the mattress pad, but they did shrink. That was where I was disappointed. They are still useable, but it's difficult making the bed. Once you get the fitted sheet on, all is well.I took away one star because they definitely wrinkle. I personally don't mind that, but some may find that annoying. The color is vivid, and the sheets are light as air. I am one of those hot sleepers, that even with 3 fans and the a/c, I often get way too hot in bed. I bought these sheets to see if they would help with that, and I'm definitely impressed. Just ordered my second set. They are so soft, and have really helped improve my quality of sleep. I highly recommend, unless of course a few wrinkles are bothersome to you.
