Other than some shipping damage on a package that says "Fragile" (yay FedEx), the bed arrived in good shape. There was some cosmetic damage, and one of the ladder legs was crushed a little. No structural corners were damaged thankfully; we were on a timeline, and I have no idea how I would have gotten a 108lb bed to a return center.You will need help putting it together. While you might be able to get the bedframe, and one side of legs on yourself, there's no way to hold it up and attach the other side at the same time. I thought about assembling it upside down and then flipping it, but it's a 108lb bed, and I would have had 'just' enough room to pull it off. I suppose I could have cut a brace of some kind, but it was just as easy to have my partner hold it up for me for a quick minute while I attached the ladder/legs.I was sad to discover that it can only be setup with the ladders exactly as they are pictured, so a right side wall orientation is out, unless you want to trip over the cross beam on the back. We opted to put the bed on the other side, which leads me to...This was not designed with windowsills in mind. If you have an average sized room with even a single window on the back or left wall, you'll need to get some different anchor straps (yes, you'll want those; discussed later), as they are two short for being even just an inch away from the wall.It's as sturdy as a tall loft bed can be, but the anchor straps that came with it are on the short side, and they're just nylon straps with holes melted through them. We'll be picking up some longer straps with actual rivets to anchor it with.The height is great for a growing pre-teen, and really opens up the possibilities of the bedroom, but if you don't have vaulted ceilings it might seem a little cramped. All-in-all it's a nice bed. I wish it were a little sturdier on it's own, and that it didn't arrive damaged. The kid loves it though, and they have the final say.Needs a different ladder or some other kind of access to the top. Built-in ladder is not practical.It’s a little wobbly but the “straps” they gave to Secure it to the wall broke so I have to find something to replace those. It took me about a day and a half to assemble, if you have someone else’s help like if it’s you and one other person or even more than one other person it should take you a LOT less time. It’s a lot taller than I thought it would be, my room has an 8 foot ceiling and I have just enough space to sit up at an angle with a six inch mattress on it. And you’ll definitely need help getting a mattress up there it was hell for me doing it alone… it’s really cute tho would recommend.The directions are vague and do not highlight a few structurally significant steps causing us to have to dismantle it and start over. Once together it looks great but be sure to bolt to the wall. Very wobblyI bought this for my son to make more room in his bedroom and it works beautifully if you have carpeting fantastic if you do not you need to find a way to put some sort of nonskid on the bottom of the legs. When I had an issue with missing pieces I contacted Amazon they contacted the company and I had them within a week of actually making contact.The instructions are horrible. It took us 3 days to put these together. We had missing hardware. There was conflicting information online and in the directions on the weight limit. The boxes were heavy and cumbersome for the FedEx driver.The bed is beautiful but very week . The quality is not good. The bad shaking and it's very hard and scary to my daughter to sleep on it.I am trying to think on good way to connect it to the walls so it won't move. I am a little disappointed. Not sure how long it's will last with this qualityWell, got it up and it works. The paint had scratches and chips on it. The welds look terrible. Number stickers were on the wrong pieces causing us to put it together incorrectly initially. It’s up and works, but could be sturdier and better labeled for easier assembly. It needs some triangles!
